The Malaysian Grand Prix was held there each year from 2000 to 2017 until it paused and then the series left the venue.
The last race happened nine years back.
In spring 2026, Sepang is slated to start the F1 season now.
Bahrain’s Grand Prix is shifting to October instead.
Race bosses say more motorsport events may appear in the near future.
