Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry and Science Minister, condemned Labour’s internal workings after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza failed to pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his outburst at a meeting as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unperturbed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a cold chamber, I don't give a sh*t."
The dispute followed previous efforts to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.
Internal papers and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over policy and direction.
