Ed Harris complained early on about his limited part in the spin-off in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was meaningless and wanted to leave. Harris told Variety, 'bluntly Get me the f- out of here' as he exited the set. He later chose to return for Season 2 to rejoin for the sequel. The show’s boss adjusted the plot and gave his character more to do. That change prompted Harris opt to stay. Deadline now says he will appear again in the role.
