He reiterated this during a media session on Thursday.
Bedard stated playoffs are the only goal for the team at present.
He also said Carlsson’s new contract has nothing to do with his own contract talks with Chicago.
The 19-year-old inked a multi-year deal with the Blackhawks recently.
